About
Moreni Hotel is located on the eastern slope of Vitosha Mountain, halfway between the two cable cars – the cable car from Simeonovo district and the chairlift from the Dragalevtsi district. The hotel is located at 20 km distance from the centre of Sofia. It is built at an altitude of 1780 m on the beautiful ridge beneath the area of Aleko, thus offering one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Vitosha Nature Park.
Moreni Hotel has 13 rooms with a large double bed, 7 one-bedroom apartments with a large double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the other room as well as 1 SPA suite equipped with a sauna and a hot tub. For the convenience of our guests the hotel offers room service, 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi, free parking, restaurant with seating capacity for 80, lobby bar with outdoor terrace and amazing panoramic view, ski storage room, SPA services including sauna, hot tub, steam room, tepidarium, massages, gym and much more.
Hotel Moreni is a great place for people who want to relax in the nature, as well as for the winter sports and hiking addicts. The hotel is close to ski chairlifts and surface lifts, ski schools and ski slopes, which are a favourite spot for generations of skiers and snowboarders. In winter, there is also a lighted night piste for night skiing lovers, and thanks to our 24-hour reception you can always go to or return from the slopes.
Moreni Hotel is a wonderful place for rest and relaxation offering one of a kind pine-tree smelling air and breath-taking views. A number of hiking trails start from here to take you to different areas of the mountain and even to the highest peak – Cherni Vrah that you can reach in about an hour and a half. For many years, the area around the hotel has been preferred by nature lovers, ornithologists, botanists and nature explorers from around the world, as rare animal and plant species can be spotted here.

Our dinner started in our SPA apartment with some nice starters and some bottles and then we moved to the regular restaurant. I really appreciated the patience and care of the personnel, in order to make our experience incredible.

This New Year was quite different since only restaurants in hotels were open and with restrictions. I selected a hotel which is in Vitosha mountain, only 16kms away from Sofia center and located 1800m above sea level. Food was good, well prepared and served, though far way from fine dining and also not pretending for such one. As a whole, I would prefer their regular menu compared to this special one. The ambience of the place was also great since it has some Alpine feeling.

Since regular restaurants are closed, the only option to get some tasty food is to arrange a visit to a hotel with a good restaurant inside.
