Raamen Sand (らあめん サンド) Morioka

I’ve sold all my belongings and moved to Morioka. I need this bowl of ramen in my life forever & ever amen thank you. Just look at those supple noodles curving into infinity, with a halo of the most sublime konbusui kelp water bath. A soup so rich and robust, with chicken and shoyu marrying together in caramely bliss. In the top left you’ve got the toppings, perfectly sliced pork, marinated bamboo, and my favorite part of a great bowl of tsukemen, the salt-sansho-wasabi trifecta to DIY your noodles as you eat.

That’s lemon juice in the center; a respectable move considering the normal choice of vinegar. That puckery acidity works perfectly here.

Okay so this is Ramen Sando, up in Morioka. Waited a long time for this bowl; it’s popular and turnover is slow. (Number one in Iwate prefecture on RamenDB 🤓)
