Ramen at Makoto Shokudō (まこと食堂)

Recommended bowl: Since 1947

Open since 1947 in a large house, and family-run for multiple generations, this is one of those places where you go for the atmosphere more than the food. The staff are super friendly and there are almost 60 seats inside. The atmosphere is an authentic Japanese experience, as what goes on inside has remained unchanged for decades. Get the standard ramen, which is your typical Kitakata-style bowl.
