Tacubo タクボ 1st visit — white truffle season at one of the most highly rated Italian restaurants in Tokyo. Favorites were sawara with kale chips; shirako and king shiitake tempura; grilled lamb and carrot (possibly the best carrot I’ve ever had) and truffle ice cream. However the horse meat tartare and bolognese could use a bit more acidity in seasoning. Overall a very good meal but not mind blowing, maybe my expectation was too high. •
