ShinoiS 1st visit — the meal was like a roller coaster, a bit hit and miss. Some really good dishes such as the fukahire spring roll and the beef/chicken/pork platter. Highlight was the fried rice, perfect texture and flavor, especially with the chef’s homemade hot sauce. However, some dishes I just didn’t understand — century egg sorbet and Shanghai crab souffle definitely didn’t work for me, and the abalone was quite rubbery.. •
