Two years ago, I was deeply impressed by the matsutake rice at Kusajiki Nakahigashi. The season is limited, and there are days when it’s not available, so unfortunately, I couldn’t have it last year.Today, I noticed matsutake in the soup, and just as I was hoping, Hisao Nakahigashi mentioned, "We have matsutake rice today." That alone raised my excitement.Additionally, I enjoyed grilled sweetfish with last year's sweetfish roe, which is always a highlight of the year.Hisao's jokes were on point, and I had a delicious and enjoyable time.Next, I want to try the chicken sukiyaki...! And I also want to enjoy the New Year’s dishes...!While it may not have the flashy reputation of a trendy, hard-to-book restaurant, the food truly nourishes both the heart and body.The matsutake rice comes with an additional charge (JPY 4,000), but I highly recommend everyone to try it!
