Once I found out about this place, I never looked back. Compared to Tsukiji, the Yokohama Fish Market feels way more intimate and local, and the restaurants inside are absolute fire.
I always go for the oyster ramen at Ramen Oohashi. It’s light but immensely satisfying for a breakfast bowl. The soup is super minerally, made with just oysters and konbu seaweed. Honestly, you don’t even need to add extra oysters unless you’re a crazy person, the standard ones are absolutely massive. They come from Miyagi prefecture, which is famous for these bad boys.
Both the red and green onion toppings pair perfectly with the broth, and the menma is marinated to perfection. One of my Yokohama favorites. Open since 2013.
