I made a reservation for the first seating on a Saturday three weeks ago. A friendly, signature dog greeted us upon arrival. We ordered:Romana JPY 2,530, Summer Vegetables and Scallops Chitinielli JPY 2,860, Stone Oven Roasted Chicken Thigh JPY 2,000 plus a lunch drink set for JPY 660.We shared the pizza and chicken between two people. The salad was dressed with a sweet and tangy dressing that whetted our appetites.Sitting at the counter, we could watch the pizza being made right in front of us, and the skillful movements of the chef were truly exciting. The pizza was surprisingly light and easy to eat. The dough and toppings were satisfying, and I could easily eat a whole pizza by myself. The Romana featured the classic Margherita with mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil, enhanced by the punch of anchovies, making it addictive. The Chitinielli maintained the moisture of the summer vegetables while being fresh, with a strong presence of shirasu (whitebait) that elevated the dish, and the scallops were packed with concentrated flavor.Personally, I found the stone oven-roasted chicken to be juicy and full of moisture, and the balsamic sauce paired perfectly, making it the highlight of the meal. I had planned to drive, so I refrained from alcohol, but I would have loved to enjoy it with some beer or wine.
