Recommended bowl: Green & purple noodles
Master Kiyuna-san previously worked as a hotel chef before taking over this shop from his parents, who are the original masters and founders. Rustic looking from the outside, the ordering system inside is as high-tech as it gets. The touch screen vending machine has the menu written in both Japanese and English. The soup here is katsuo-based with no MSG, but the real draw are the multiple varieties of house-made noodles. Aside from your standard Okinawa style noodles, they offer purple noodles made with beni imo (purple sweet potato) or green noodles containing yomogi (mugwort). Topping options include the standard sōki sparerib and tebichi (pig's feet). Open since 2001.
