Recommended bowl: Spicy Kururi style
This small shop with just seven seats has been open for years, but was previously known as Kururi. At one time it was one of the more well-known shops serving an original style of miso ramen with extra thick noodles. Kururi enjoyed a popular run, and had three shops operating in Tokyo. After this Ichigaya branch closed, the former master Ōtsukaya-san rebranded and reopened in 2015, changing the menu just slightly by offering a spicy miso ramen. For lovers of spice, however, don't expect to feel any kind of pain. The extra thick noodles are ordered from Mikawaya Seimen, and the soup is made with pork, chicken feet, pork back fat, chicken bones and vegetables. Ōtsukaya-san does all the prep and runs the shop himself. Nothing else on the menu.
