Recommended bowl: Special brand flour

Open since July 2018, Menya Somei Yoshino serves up shoyu ramen made from a variety of ingredients. The base to the soup is domestic chickens, followed by katsuobushi, kombu, niboshi and about 10 kinds of vegetables. The soup takes about 10 hours to make, and contains no MSG. Noodles are ordered via Hōka Shokuhin, made using 'Somei Yoshino' brand Japanese wheat. Somei Yoshino also happens to be a variety of cherry blossom. The master previously trained at the shop Sakura (now closed) in Nishi-Ogikubo.
