Recommended bowl: Vegan Miso ramen
With just 6 seats, this is the smallest outpost of master Shono's Mensho ramen group. The menu has changed and evolved since the shop first opened in 2013. As of late 2019 the latest theme involves curry-like soups based on Indian spices such as cumin, cardamom and cinnamon. The recommended vegan miso ramen is served with a tomato-based soup infused with kombu and corn, topped with chili oil. Noodles house-made from the Mensho noodle factory in nearby Gokokuji. All of master Shono’s shops are legit and this one is no different.
