Recommended bowl: Green curry ramen
Bassanova is an old beacon on the Tokyo ramen scene, having been featured in various magazine spreads and local TV spots. Most of the bowls here, including both ramen and tsukemen, are served with a tonkotsu-based soup; but the most popular bowl is the 'green curry soba'. The chef takes a traditional Thai green curry made with coconut milk and blends it with a rich tonkotsu broth. The thin noodles nicely suit the flavors of the soup, as does the tori chashu. A nice late-night choice not far from Shimokitazawa.
