Recommended bowl: Wagyu Jiro

Called 'Men Hachi Ichi' during lunch and '81 Noodle Bar' at dinner, the shop name, menu and theme change slightly from day to night. The standard lunch menu is Jiro style aburasoba. The sauce for the aburasoba is made from pork and chicken. When available, go for the limited menu featuring a Jiro inspired bowl made from Japanese beef based shoyu soup, bean sprouts, garlic and heaps of soft-stewed wagyu chashu slices. Noodles are special ordered from Morioka, Iwate Prefecture. Run by master Higashino-san, who also owns a horumon (offal) restaurant in Ogikubo. Open since 2018.
