Recommended bowl: Since 1914

While not much on the surface, the roots of this shop go back to 1914, when it first opened in nearby Hamacho. It has since moved to its current location in Shinkawa, but given its history, this is the oldest Taishouken shop in all of Tokyo. A Chinese restaurant at its roots, the dishes are simple and nostalgic. Recommended is the Han Cha-han ramen set, which includes a bowl of ramen in a mini bowl and fried rice on the side. The animal bone based soup stock is made using special filtered water and natural salt. Noodles are provided by Asakusa Kaikarou. All ingredients used are sourced domestically in Japan.
