Recommended bowl: Pork skin & chicken
Velvety rich chicken-based soup made with pork skin and served with fatty slices of delectable chashu. Tsukemen also on tap during the summertime only, but honey vodka shots are always on the house (one per customer). Mostly wooden, homey interior with the kitchen in full view, and the master’s impressive collection of knives on display. The vibe is quite artisanal and rustic — totally Japanese. The shop first opened in 2006, and the master’s son has been operating a second branch in Nishi-Nakajima since 2015.
