Recommended bowl: Best Jiro-style in town?

Buta Boshi aka 'Pig Star' is run by founder Takayuki Ootsuka, who has been working in ramen shops since he was 19 years old. Before opening here he put in time at Jiro outposts in Koganei and Hachioji, among other ramen shops. Thick, home-style noodles topped with slabs of pork chashu and a mountain of vegetables, all of it swamped in a rich, salty, tonkotsu shoyu soup. The staff may ask you if you want garlic, this is your chance to order free toppings like at Jiro. Aside from standard Jiro style bowls, Buta Boshi also serves spicy bowls and various seasonal specialties, many of which are incredible. For Jiro style this shop is considered one of the best in Japan.
