Recommended bowl: Famous black
One of the more well known ramen shops in Toyama, famous for serving the local style Toyama black. Not the first to do it, but indeed the shop responsible for making the style known all over Japan. The shop first opened in 1992, by master Kurihara-san. Double soup is made from chicken, white shrimp and katsuo. The tare sauce has been continuously made in the same 'mother pot' ever since the shop opened. Noodles are also house-made, using local wheat from Toyama prefecture. Several branches now around Japan, this is the flagship.
