Recommended bowl: Famous Hiroshima style

Kunimatsu is not the original Hiroshima style tantanmen, however it is widely regarded as the shop which made Hiroshima style tantanmen famous across Japan. The bowls are made with chili oil, shoyu tare, sesame paste and warm chicken soup, plus toppings. Noodles are house-made. The recommended style of eating is to mix everything in your bowl at least 30 times. Master Kunimatsu-san runs over 10 branches in Hiroshima, as well as outposts in Tokyo, Nagano and Okinawa.
