I highly recommend easing into the weekend @layersgreenlake. Unwind by candlelight on Friday and Saturday evenings with a beer, a session cocktail, a glass of wine and complimentary chips and olives, or make a meal of small plates. I loved the salad of apple, fennel and Beecher's cheese swathed in cashew cream, the charred broccoli nestled in 'nduja aioli, and rosy slices of speck ham with marcona almonds. Dessert was a lush cormeal cake with lemon curd and kumquats. It's so good you won't want to share it, so order one for each of you and another glass of wine. After all, it's the weekend.
