“Kushikatsu”, also known as “Kushiage”, are Japanese deep-fried skewers that is typically considered junk food🍢 However, “Kushikatsu Abon” in Ashiya of Hyogo Prefecture takes the genre to a whole new dimension🪐 Each ingredient is carefully selected, often featuring seasonal specials, and lightly fried with a blend of high quality oils☃️

They have received the prestigious @tabelogofficial Bronze and Silver awards every year since 2017, and is now nearly impossible to reserve for new customers🥺 To secure a visit, your best bet is to find a friend who has a slot🤞🏼 Personal highlights included the iconic “Tiger Prawn” in the cover photo, Snow Crab leg, as well as their unique dessert skewers👏
