This July marks 10 years of @atoboynyc, and looking back, it’s remarkable how much of an impact this restaurant has had on New York’s dining scene.
I’ve known JP and Ellia Park for most of those 10 years and have watched Atoboy grow from an exciting new opening into one of the city’s most enduring success stories. In a restaurant industry where trends come and go, they’ve stayed true to their vision while continuing to evolve.
Inspired by the Korean tradition of banchan, Atoboy’s menu transforms the idea of small shared plates into a thoughtful four-course prix fixe experience. The food is as delicious today as I remember it over the years, which is perhaps the greatest compliment I can give.
What has always impressed me most is how approachable the experience remains. In a city where tasting menus continue to climb in price, Atoboy is still one of the best values in New York dining.
