Looking for a little Baja escape without leaving LA? 🌴🌮☀️ We checked out @caravan.cantina @hoteljunewestla we instantly fell in love with the gorgeous poolside views and laid-back coastal vibe & the food is delicious!!
We kicked things off with a refreshing Frozé 🍓 made with vodka, rosé, strawberry, and lemon, a Frozen Classic Margarita 🍹 with blanco tequila, Combier, and fresh lime, and a Mango Limeade Refresco 🥭🍋 that was bright, refreshing, and perfect for a warm LA day.
For food, we started with the Queso Blanco (always a good idea 😉), then dug into the Grilled Fish Taco, the Octopus Aguachile Tostada loaded with chilled octopus, cucumber, avocado, and just the right amount of heat, plus the incredibly fresh Baja Ceviche with shrimp and fish served alongside crispy tortilla chips.
The Squash Blossom Quesadilla was packed with melty Oaxacan cheese, grilled squash, pickled onions, and cotija, while the star of the meal was the Pescado Sarandeado—a beautifully grilled wild seabass marinated with herbs and garlic, topped with fresh herbs and served with charred lemon. Absolute perfection.
