I visited @nusarabkk in Bangkok back in January and really enjoyed the whole experience.
Chef @cheftonn Ton Tassanakajohn’s cooking is rooted in Thai flavours and family recipes, particularly those of his grandmother Nusara, after whom the restaurant is named. There’s plenty of refinement and technique, but the food still has that depth, heat and intensity that makes Thai cooking so addictive.
The setting is pretty special too. My table had an incredible view straight across to the illuminated Wat Pho temple complex, which has to be one of the better dining room views in Bangkok.
The evening also started very well downstairs at Nuss Bar — a beautiful little cocktail bar serving Thai-inspired drinks and classics using local ingredients. Definitely worth arriving early for a drink before dinner.
A really enjoyable night and another restaurant that shows just how strong Bangkok’s dining scene is right now.
