Their small menu keeps it simple but WOW does it deliver — steak burgers grilled to perfection, fry sauce smothered on top (because it’s a commitment not just a drizzle 😉 ), and those loaded fries with caramelized onions?? 🤤 Certified grilled-onion-girly approved.
And listen… even if Brussels sprouts aren’t your love language, these will convert you. Crispy, drenched in balsamic, and somehow the healthy little side you didn’t know your burger date needed.

We dove into the NEW menu @habitburgerandgrill 🍔 we’re in love with the limited-time 🐠 Baja Crispy Fish — beer-battered wild Alaska cod piled high with cilantro lime slaw, pickled red onions, and Baja sauce on the softest toasted brioche. It’s giving beach day in every bite. 🐟💛
On the side the NEW 🌽 🧀 Cheesy Street Corn Tots… golden, crispy little flavor bombs packed with sweet corn, peppers, cilantro, and dunked in housemade ranch. I could’ve ordered three ❤️
We even got to hang with @chefjasontriail — The genius behind all this California-inspired magic. From the Baja Crispy Fish to the Blue Wave Shake, he’s bringing bold, fresh flavors while keeping those open-flame classics we love. We also love the NEW & improved

If you haven’t wandered through Old Town Monrovia lately… do it. Cute shops, twinkle lights, and then dinner @filletsushi
We started with the Rock Shrimp Tempura (crispy, lemony, spicy mayo perfection), Japanese fried jidori chicken (SO juicy), and the crispy rice spicy bluefin tuna that I could honestly order twice and not regret it.
But listen… you MUST get these rolls:
The Velvet Toro is next level — layers of bluefin, yuzu truffle soy, arugula, pecorino… it’s rich in the best way.
The White Roll is so fresh and bright with yellowtail + halibut and that little crunch on top.
And the Fire Albacore Roll? Smoky, garlicky, a little spicy… total fire 🔥😉
For our main we shared the Koji Miso Salmon and it was perfectly tender with that savory-sweet miso flavor that melts in your mouth.
And because no date night is complete without something sweet… the Nutella Croissant Pudding sealed the deal. Warm, gooey, chocolatey comfort that makes you sit there a little longer and not rush the night.

I’ve been on a healthy breakfast lately— the blueberry vanilla + chocolate cherry flavors are on repeat. It’s not that super crunchy, teeth-breaking granola… it’s soft, cozy, and honestly perfect mixed into yogurt. 😊
This has become my go-to quick breakfast when I want something that feels a little special but takes zero effort. Sweet but not too sweet, dessert-y taste without being over the top, and somehow still feels wholesome?

⭐️🐔 🇯🇵 Finally tried @starbirdchicken NEW Japanese BBQ lineup 🤤
The sandwich — perfectly crispy chicken with that sweet-savory Japanese BBQ sauce, a little heat from the wasabi aioli, crunch from fresh cabbage and cucumber, and pops of flavor from pickled ginger, green onion, and togarashi. So balanced, so addictive.
The tenders were just as good — juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, drenched in that umami-packed BBQ sauce and topped with furikake, green onion, and more pickled ginger for that extra bite.
And let’s talk about the fries because WOW. Okonomiyaki-inspired fries loaded with Japanese BBQ sauce, wasabi aioli, furikake, pickled ginger, green onion, and bonito flakes — crispy, creamy, smoky, and slightly sweet all at once. Easily my favorite part 🍟🔥
Ended the meal the only right way — with my all-time favorite dessert, @itsiticecream sandwich- Cold, creamy vanilla ice cream between soft oatmeal cookies dipped in chocolate = the perfect finish.
