After 10 months, I enjoyed the JPY 14,000 Omakase Course, which includes most of the alcohol costs, allowing me to drink without worrying about the price. This yakitori course is exceptional for pairing with Japanese sake, and even after a long absence, my spirits were lifted from the very first sip.The meal began with a refreshing "Tomato and Onion Soup" and a "Salad," setting the stage for the standout dish, "Double Chicken Thigh Tataki." From there, the course showcased the skillful cooking techniques with a variety of yakitori, including "Chicken Thigh," "Duck Mince," "Chicken Breast," "Gizzard," "Liver and Heart Strings," "Chicken Tender," "Heart," "Shiso Chicken Meatball," "Neck," and "Cartilage." Each part offered a unique texture, richness, and aroma, allowing for a natural enjoyment of the differences. The addition of "Onion" provided a slight softening of the flow, leading into the second half with "Duck Breast," "Kinkan (Kumquat)," "Bonjiri (Chicken Tail)," and "Shishimaru (Chicken Wing)," which deepened the umami experience. Despite the numerous skewers, the course remained engaging and satisfying until the end.I hadn’t planned to pair yakitori with sake, but I ended up enjoying quite a bit of sake. Starting with "Heartland," I moved on to "Kikusui Tokubetsu Junmai," "Kuroushi 'Betsuzumi' Junmai Sake, Tōji's Recommendation," "Morishima Junmai Ginjo Yamada Nishiki," "Abekan Junmai Karakuchi," "Yamagata Masamune Junmai Ginjo Omachi," "Akabu Junmai Sake," and "Mansaku no Hana Super Limited Junmai Daiginjo, First Pasteurized Sake." One standout moment was when the staff suggested pairing "Morishima Junmai Ginjo Yamada Nishiki" with the "Liver and Heart Strings," where the rich flavors beautifully complemented the clean contours of the sake, making it genuinely delicious. Such recommendations significantly enhance the satisfaction of the meal.To finish, I had the "Chicken Rice Bowl (Medium)" and "Chicken Soup." The remarkable aspect of this course is that even after such a hearty meal, I could still enjoy it comfortably, landing smoothly at the end. That said, I left thinking, "Next time, I’ll go for the Chicken Rice Bowl (Large)," which speaks to the high satisfaction of the evening. This place offers a wonderful experience of yakitori and Japanese sake pairing, allowing you to savor the flow of flavors in a reassuring course.
