Some favorites from a happy dinner a while back. Fluffy gnocchi were my all time favorite yet what struck me the most was cauliflower smothered in vadouvan butter and then grilled, served with giant capers, golden raisins and mint. Meaty, sweet and smoky, the distinct flavor of this French masala reminds me of the legendary chef who opened my eyes many moons ago to the versatility of every ingredient and the dazzling world of haute cuisine. For those who know me well, it is @pierregagnaire of course! Through his cuisine, I’ve learnt so much about integrity and creativity, about mastering the code and staying humble, about orchestrating art on a plate with captivating and unsuspected flavors. Thanks to him, I’ve also become friends with some of the most talented and generous people! Still gutted about not making it to Paris last March, grateful that a good soul like @truong._.t.mai gave me a live feed, making me laugh and cry at the same time. Really excited to see the European Union reopen its boarders to travelers after a long tough battle! Yet traveling still seems like a fairytale to me at the moment.
