Makinonci マキノンチ 1st visit — rebranding of the renowned French Cuisine Makino, 2 Michelin stars. The restaurant is located halfway up Mt Utatsu in Kanazawa, offering beautiful view of sunset over the city. Dishes are quite innovative, with interesting twists here and there. Favorite was the baked matsutake and anago served with egg yolk sauce; and the grilled suppon. The main duck dish was good but nothing too special and the portion was quite big, so was the chestnut strudel dessert which I couldn’t finish.. •
