Holbox is a celebrated Mexican seafood restaurant in Los Angeles, founded by Chef Gilberto Cetina in 2017. Cetina, whose family ran the beloved Yucatán-style Chichen Itza restaurant, brings deep expertise in Mexican cuisine. Dishes like tacos, oysters, scallops, tuna collar, and lobster are all expertly prepared, but the true standouts are the incredible house-made hot sauces—each one better than the last. In 2024, Holbox became the first Mexican marisquería in the U.S. to earn a Michelin star.
