Good evening.I’m Kozue, a beauty acupuncturist.Recently, I visited Yao and went to Tonkatsu Mange, the tonkatsu restaurant that had impressed me in the past.I arrived at 8:00 AM to sign in outside, as they open at 11:00 AM.On this day, I got there around 8:00, and I was about 7th or 8th in line. In reality, I think I was around 20th, as many were representing families or groups.I had some errands to run, and around 11:45 AM, I received a call letting me know my turn was approaching. The interior has about 12 counter seats, and I was seated at the same spot as before.I ordered a selection of tonkatsu. It seems the sets are separate, so I added a rice a la carte.I had the shrimp fry and tonkatsu, while my friend ordered the tonkatsu with Echire butter, along with tenderloin and loin tonkatsu. They pay great attention to the sauces, salts, and seasonings. The shrimp fry was crispy enough to eat the head, and the meat was incredibly juicy. The tonkatsu was so tender that I didn’t even need a knife. The pork had no unpleasant odor, was juicy, and the coating was crispy with seasoning, making it delicious even on its own. After enjoying the tonkatsu course, they served us gelato as a finishing touch, which was refreshing and delicious. It was very tasty, but compared to 12 years ago, the excitement has slightly faded. Still, it ranks among the best tonkatsu I’ve ever had.It was a great meal.
