Long Island has no shortage of Central American restaurants, but @laceibaking in Huntington still feels like a destination spot. Just check out this pollo con tajadas, a Honduran volcano of fried green plantains with all sorts of pickled bits and a hunk of fried chicken underneath.

Their baleada is also choice. The puffy flour tortilla is homemade and freshly griddled. It hugs the scrambled eggs, beans, avocado and crema beautifully. Also the staff is so friendly here. You can see in the background of this picture, they gave us little samples of all the aguas frescas to drink. Not pictured: the solid pupusas.
