Although I love the outdoor succulent greenhouse, I wasn’t sold on Verde in Bay Shore until now. (My previous visit was on a taco Tuesday which may have been an unwise choice.) But thankfully @erica_marcus persuaded me to give it a second chance, and we ended up having a lovely lunch together. (Plus @melireports)
This Oaxacan grilled meat platter took me back to the fiery meat hallway, Pasillo de Carnes Asadas in Oaxaca City. Only there were no dudes showcasing their raw meats or blowing smoke into your face as you drank a tanker of beer. I think Verde was playing The Eagles so that wasn’t really right either. But that steak was choice and dare I say, the company was even better!
