I wanted to enjoy a special meal in Murakami, so I visited Kappou Shintaku. The dishes served in a calm atmosphere were all meticulously prepared, allowing me to savor each one from start to finish. What particularly stood out was the fish dishes that truly reflected the essence of Murakami. The flavors of the ingredients were prominent, yet the seasoning was refined, showcasing the chef's skill in every dish. The use of local ingredients like salmon and cherry salmon was delightful, offering a different deliciousness compared to the fish I usually eat. Seasonal ingredients such as wild vegetables were also incorporated, making it a pleasure to experience the seasonal flavors of Niigata through the dishes. The presentation was beautiful, and I felt excited with each dish that arrived, wondering, "What will come next?" As a woman in my 30s, it felt like a bit of a luxurious meal, but since I had come all the way to Murakami, I thought it was nice to enjoy a meal at such a restaurant. Not only the food but also the tranquil dining space contributed to a high level of satisfaction, making it perfect for special occasions or meals with loved ones. This was a place where I could truly savor the culinary charm of Murakami, and I would love to visit again.
