Tempura Fukamachi is renowned as one of the top tempura restaurants in Tokyo, and I was amazed by the high quality of each dish. The batter is light and crispy, yet it doesn’t feel heavy at all, allowing the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine through. The sweet shrimp and anago (conger eel) were particularly impressive, showcasing perfect cooking techniques. Watching the meticulous preparation from the counter adds to the charm, and the serene atmosphere allows for a leisurely dining experience. Although it’s a high-end restaurant, it left me wanting to return, making it a truly satisfying gem.
