I visited again and arrived at 9:35, waiting for 3 hours and 15 minutes to get in at 12:50. The line was intense! There were 22 people ahead of me, and by the time I got in, they had already sold out, so I was around 16th in line.I thought it might be less crowded due to the rainy weather, but everyone was really enthusiastic. However, it was cool and the sunlight wasn’t an issue, so maybe this kind of weather makes it easier to wait in line.I ordered the Beef Tongue Curry for JPY 3,800 and a large rice for JPY 200.They first brought out some pickled onions and fukujinzuke (Japanese pickles). The pickled onions were delicious! The Beef Tongue Curry came with a huge piece of tongue. It looked like there was about 200 to 300 grams of meat. It was simmered to perfection, and the meat fibers fell apart easily. It was very tender. On the other hand, the curry sauce was a bit on the lighter side, as the tongue took up most of the space. I wish there was a bit more sauce. The curry itself wasn’t very spicy. It felt like they kept the saltiness to a minimum. The flavor wasn’t overpowering; it was a gentle curry. Surprisingly, I didn’t feel heavy after eating it, and the aroma of the curry lingered pleasantly. It was delicious, but I don’t think I’ll wait that long again. I didn’t find it worth the wait. I could handle a wait of 30 minutes to an hour, but 2 to 3 hours is a bit much. I’ve tried waiting twice to see what this super famous place is like, but will I come back for a third time? I doubt it.It was a great meal!
