I wanted to treat myself to a nice lunch on my last day in Tokyo, so I made a reservation for 11:30 and visited for the first time. It took about 20 minutes to get there from Hankyu Umeda Station, passing through Higashi-Umeda Station and the Midosuji Line. Upon arrival, I saw the lunch sign and was directed to the second floor after descending the stairs. The waiting area was luxurious, and the restaurant featured only six seats at a ceramic open kitchen counter, creating a calm and chic atmosphere that felt like a different world. As it turned out, I was the only one who made a lunch reservation, resulting in a gorgeous private dining experience. Each course was meticulously prepared, matching the elegant ambiance of the restaurant. I felt a sense of familiarity as I learned that this place is a sister restaurant of Beefun Higashi in Shimbashi, which I had been wanting to visit for a while. The standout dishes included two types of Peking duck and a fish dish, Sawara, which paired perfectly with the black vinegar sauce, along with grilled asparagus. These dishes offered a level of creativity and depth of flavor that I had never experienced before. I enjoyed two glasses of white wine and a glass of rosé, all of which were delightful. I left feeling very satisfied and headed towards Shin-Osaka Station.
