About a month ago, I made a reservation for the Special Course priced at JPY 15,000 and visited this restaurant. All the meat was cooked to perfection, making every dish delicious. I had the Nohara-yaki at the Hongo branch before, and it was consistently tasty. The tenderloin steak, in particular, was impressive and a must-try.The portion sizes were just right, but considering the age demographic of the diners, the menu featured a lot of rich cuts like shoulder triangle, Nohara-yaki, upper misuji, and misuji, which might be a bit heavy for some. I would have appreciated a few more lean cuts. While I was satisfied with the overall value for the price, there were three concerns I had, especially considering the Tabelog rating of 4.33 at the time of my visit.Although the restaurant has an open kitchen style, the staff in the dining area communicated requests from other customers, but the kitchen staff did not respond, which did not create a positive impression for the customers. The dessert course allowed us to choose from about five options, but they seemed like store-bought desserts that I had seen at other places. I was hoping for something homemade, so I was disappointed.I understand that this is a popular restaurant and reservations can be hard to come by, but I had difficulty getting through on the phone. I wanted to confirm something three or four days before my reservation and called multiple times, but I could not reach anyone during the business hours, including the designated phone response time of 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. In the end, I gave up trying to contact them and just went to the restaurant, but having almost no means of communication is inconvenient for those who have made a reservation.
