Saturday at 3 PM, I visited with three friends. This is undoubtedly Japan's best yakiniku restaurant. Normally, I would provide some background about the restaurant here, but that seems unnecessary, right? (laughs)My friends waited in line for about two hours, and we were able to enter during the first round. The interior has a nostalgic feel of a classic yakiniku restaurant. It feels like I've wandered into the countryside, even though I'm in Tokyo.Of course, it was fully booked, and there was a long line for the second round as well.Ordered menu items:We ordered about 13 servings in total, as suggested by the staff. I won't be able to write detailed impressions for everything, so I'll keep it brief. The payment was probably cash only, and it came to just over JPY 50,000 for four people.Kimchi and Kaku-teki: The seasoning isn't overly unique, but it's sweet and spicy without any unpleasant odor. Delicious!Fried Eggplant: Personally, this was the best eggplant I've ever had (laughs). The seasoning was perfectly to my taste, and the quality was excellent. A wonderful dish that raised my expectations.Beef Tendon with Daikon: The flavor is deeply infused. I wonder how many hours it was simmered? The daikon soaked in the flavor is always a hit.Tongue: This is fantastic tongue. I have no idea where they source it, but it's just great... The strong heat from the roaster gives it a nice crisp finish, making it delicious!Outside Skirt: This time, we had upper outside skirt instead of premium outside skirt, and it was just average. I think other places might serve comparable quality... but this isn't the premium version. I’d like to try the premium next time.Heart Steak: The texture of the heart is present and quite tasty! However, I think Yuji's might be better.Lean Meat: This is also great. The knife work is excellent, so despite the thickness, it cooks quickly and remains juicy. Delicious!Salted Horumon Stew: This is a top-notch dish. Both the horumon and the seasoning are wonderful. The combination with momiji oroshi and quail eggs is fantastic, showing great attention to detail.Loin: This also has good marbling, and the sauce is consistently delicious.Mixed Horumon: When you think of Stamina En, this is what comes to mind. A must-try for yakiniku fans. The flavor is exceptional, and the seasoning is surprisingly well-balanced, enhancing the meat's taste without overpowering it. I believe this is the pinnacle of horumon dishes.Liver: It's creamy and delicious. Truly a taste that lives up to the Stamina En name.Dessert of Black Bean Almond Jelly and Ramune: The sweetness is just right, calming, and the ramune paired with the bright summer sunlight filtering into the restaurant made for a perfect moment, truly feeling like a Japanese summer.Overall, I felt it would be harder to find something to complain about than to enjoy this restaurant (laughs). The atmosphere, influenced by the time of day and weather, enveloped us in a nostalgic summer vibe from the Showa era, allowing us to savor the best flavors.Of course, I will come again! It was a great meal!
