Today, I made a reservation at Unagi Uomasa to celebrate a friend's birthday.It was my first time getting off at Yotsugi Station, and the Captain Tsubasa theme all around was truly nostalgic.Today's eel is from Choshi, Chiba, and is a high-end brand called "Bandō Tarō." I was excited to see what the JPY 15,000 unaju would be like, especially since it was a pre-reserved dish.The unaju, grilled slowly over Kishu Binchōtan charcoal, was served after about 40 minutes.I’m not great with words, but I can’t express how wonderfully the fluffy, tender eel combined with the rice.Even someone with a less refined palate like mine can tell this is the best unaju I’ve ever had.Recently, my boss from Kobe bragged about Kansai-style eel, and now I want to introduce him to Unagi Uomasa.My friend was also extremely satisfied, and we had a wonderful anniversary celebration.I definitely want to revisit on another special occasion.It was a great meal!
