The food was delicious, but given the price, it’s expected to be good, so my evaluation goes beyond just that. Here are some points of comparison with other French restaurants:▼ Positives:- The presentation was beautiful and vibrant, showcasing creativity and making it interesting.- The food was tasty.- The cheese and chocolate cart was very stylish, and everything looked delicious (and it was!).- The location had a lively atmosphere.▼ Negatives:- The portions were excessively large.… It wasn’t just that each dish was big, but the number of dishes served was overwhelming, leaving me quite full even by the time the appetizers were served. By the time the main course arrived, I had to eat while being very conscious of my stomach.I would appreciate it if portion adjustments could be made at the time of reservation or during the meal.- There were too many soufflé dishes.… This is purely a matter of personal preference. While they were interesting, I find that soufflés are generally not very tasty, and having so many of them made me feel like I was eating air. I’m not a fan, so it made my stomach feel uneasy.- Many dishes were quite rich in flavor.… There were several dishes that I found to be overly seasoned. It wasn’t just a hint of strong flavor as an accent; many dishes were overwhelmingly rich!- The space was quiet yet cramped.… The interior was quite small. The circular layout and lack of windows made it stylish but lacking in openness. The sounds of dishes and conversations echoed around, making it hard to have a private conversation due to the close proximity to other diners.- I felt the staff's gaze. While it’s expected in a French restaurant, the circular layout allowed me to feel the eyes of 4-5 staff members constantly when seated on the sofa side. They were checking my partner’s plate closely from behind, which was fine since my partner was facing away from the hall, but from my perspective, it was quite noticeable. (I wish they would check more discreetly.) Everyone was very nice, but I thought that if I were to come here with a date seated on the sofa side, it could lead to an awkward three hours due to the constant feeling of being watched.- Pricing.I wish the service charge was included in the course price from the start. We planned to spend JPY 90,000 for two, but the service charge of JPY 18,000 was added at the end, making it a guaranteed JPY 110,000 regardless of how much we drank. I believe many affluent customers come here, but even so, it should be clearly stated from the beginning. The atmosphere was too quiet for conversation, making it a bit uncomfortable, and the lack of windows meant there was no night view, giving it a somewhat closed-off impression, which didn’t create a romantic vibe. Therefore, if I were to visit again, it would likely be to seek out new flavors on my own.
