【Rating Criteria】5 points: Flawless4 points: Truly impressive3.6 points: I want to visit again3.5 points: Recommendable to othersThis is a renowned unagi restaurant located very close to Yotsugi Station.I ordered the Uomasa Course (limited to 10 groups per day) for JPY 18,000 (tax included). The meal included an appetizer, uzaku, grilled kurikara eel, bone chips, liver wasabi, domestic brand unagi over rice, liver soup, pickles, and dessert, making it quite fulfilling. The grilled kurikara eel was impressively large—perhaps a bit too much.The domestic brand unagi over rice was delicious, while the grilled kurikara eel was excellent, and the rest were fairly average. While nothing was bad, unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet the expectations set by the Tabelog rating. I felt that the average dishes were holding it back.The grilled kurikara eel had a crispy and fluffy texture, while the domestic brand unagi over rice leaned more towards fluffy. The portion was substantial, and both the texture and seasoning were delightful. This place truly lives up to its reputation.However, I think the Tabelog rating of 4.24 (at the time of my visit) might be a bit too high. Perhaps my excitement diminished as I filled up before reaching the domestic brand unagi over rice. Next time, I’d like to focus solely on the domestic brand unagi over rice.That said, it is indeed a great restaurant. With the friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere, I would definitely recommend it and want to visit again.
