I visited "Sottaku Tsukamoto" for the first time in December, located in Gion, on Nishihanamikoji Street. The interior offers a calm Japanese atmosphere, with a serene ambiance typical of Kyoto. From the moment I sat down, my anticipation grew. The cuisine focuses on seasonal Japanese dishes, each plate carefully crafted to highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients. The visual appeal is stunning, and you can tell that the temperature and texture have been meticulously considered. It left me with the impression of delicate artistry rather than flamboyance. The pairing with alcohol was excellent, allowing me to enjoy my meal slowly while savoring Japanese sake. With each dish, my excitement for the next course grew, and I had a wonderfully pleasant time until the end.The service was perfectly balanced, providing comfort while maintaining a respectful distance, and the explanations of the dishes were thorough. It truly embodies the hospitality characteristic of Kyoto.Considering the price range, my satisfaction level was extremely high. I would highly recommend this establishment for special occasions or dining with loved ones. I definitely plan to revisit when I return to Kyoto.
