Nestled in the residential area of Tanimachi, Osaka, Sushi Sanshin is a popular restaurant that operates by reservation only. I was invited and finally had the chance to visit for the first time! To my surprise, it was a rare evening session. The restaurant's exterior features a calm wooden space that retains the charm of a pre-war row house, creating a soothing atmosphere. Even before entering, my excitement naturally grew. From behind the counter, the chef's meticulous work and graceful movements brought forth exquisite dishes made from seasonal ingredients. The balance between the sushi toppings and rice was exceptional, and each piece was crafted to perfection. The overall course composition was outstanding! Before finishing the entire course, I was presented with additional options. The menu was astonishingly extensive, featuring 34 types of nigiri and 13 types of rolls—a truly impressive lineup. While enjoying delicious sushi, rare Japanese sake, and engaging in conversation with the chef, I experienced a blissful moment.Thank you to the chef and everyone at the restaurant for a wonderful evening!
