If you love Yakiniku, this is a must-visit restaurant. At "Yakiniku Jumbo Hanare," I indulged in a meat lover's feast from the signature dishes to the finale. ✨Located just a few minutes' walk from Hongo Sanchome Station, Yakiniku Jumbo Hanare offers a popular course featuring the day's recommended cuts, including their famous Nohara Yaki, premium tongue, and top blade.Once again, from start to finish, I experienced a satisfying feeling of "I came here to eat meat!"The first thing that caught my eye was the beautifully marbled thinly sliced meat. With fine layers of fat, it looked incredibly tender. When quickly grilled, the fat melted on my tongue, and the sweetness of the meat spread throughout my mouth. You can't visit Jumbo without trying their signature Nohara Yaki. Known for its large, thinly sliced meat grilled to perfection and enjoyed with an egg, it offers a rich umami flavor. The egg adds a creamy texture, and the sweet and savory seasoning makes it dangerously delicious, leaving you wanting rice.Next, thickly sliced meat was served. The vibrant red meat on the black plate was quite thick, yet surprisingly tender when grilled, releasing a burst of meat juices and robust umami with each bite. This dish allows you to truly enjoy the quality of the meat, contrasting with the melt-in-your-mouth texture of the thin slices. ✨Even the marbled cuts had a sweetness to the fat without feeling heavy, making it easy to keep eating. With various ways to enjoy it—salt, sauce, thick cuts, and thin cuts—it never felt monotonous until the end.The moment I placed the meat on rice was pure bliss, needing no further explanation. The savory aroma from the grill, the sauce, and the meat juices soaked into the white rice, creating a delicious dish on its own.In between, there were salads made with lettuce and onions, as well as kimchi and namul, which helped reset my palate between the rich meat dishes. The finale was also something to look forward to. The menu featured beef rice and special cold noodles, showcasing that Jumbo is not just about Yakiniku. The cold noodles I had were a refreshing bowl with a clear broth, slippery noodles, white shredded onions, sesame, and a soft-boiled egg—a delightful dish that went down easily even after a hearty meat feast. What impressed me even more was the clay pot rice dish filled with egg yolk, shredded onions, and finely chopped meat. Mixing it all together spread the meat's umami and the richness of the egg throughout the rice, making it hard to resist even when I was full. This restaurant not only offers "high-end Yakiniku" but also teaches you how to grill and enjoy each piece of meat at its best. If you visit with fellow Yakiniku lovers, it’s guaranteed to be a hit.It was a great meal! ✨
