I traveled from Niigata to Murakami and visited Kappou Shintaku for the first time in a while. As I was looking over the menu at my table, the chef happily announced, "We will serve you Sakura Masu in three different styles!" True to his word, I was treated to sashimi, grilled, and pressed sushi, allowing me to indulge in the exquisite flavors of Sakura Masu without reservation. The fish was cut into perfectly thick slices, offering a different experience from sushi, with the elegant fat and robust flavor of the ingredient filling my mouth directly. I was continually impressed by the chef's stylish presentation and his remarkable skill in bringing out the essence of local ingredients. Each dish was surprisingly delicious, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience that satisfied all my senses. I definitely plan to return to savor the winter delicacies next time.
