I visited Unagi Uomasa for the second time to celebrate a birthday. Last time, I had the unaju (grilled eel over rice), but this time I ordered the kabayaki (grilled eel) with rice, liver soup, and shirayaki (grilled eel without sauce). While waiting for the eel to arrive, I enjoyed some crispy bone crackers and boiled liver. When the eel finally arrived, it was perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and of course, it was delicious. The liver salt (if I remember correctly) that came with the shirayaki was incredibly tasty—I wished I could take some home! It was also great when paired with the rice that comes with the kabayaki (you can choose whether to add sauce or not). The kabayaki had a different texture from the unaju, being crispy yet fluffy inside, and the sauce was not overly sweet, making it very enjoyable. The service was attentive, and both the taste and atmosphere were excellent. I would love to visit again if the opportunity arises.
