This Chinese restaurant has been a favorite of mine since a senior colleague treated me here about 20 years ago, and I visit occasionally. Today, I enjoyed a leisurely meal with a friend from middle school. We ordered a course priced at JPY 22,000, excluding tax. The first floor was quite lively and filled with guests by 6 PM, but the well-placed partitions ensured a good level of privacy. Every dish, starting from the appetizers, was elegantly presented and served in smaller portions. The appetizers included a unique dish of century egg mixed with avocado and tomato, garnished with cilantro, showcasing a creative twist on traditional Chinese cuisine. The shark fin soup was rich and delicious as well. Wines are priced around JPY 2,500 to JPY 2,800 per glass. In the past, I enjoyed performances of the erhu in the private rooms, which added to the ambiance. Today’s relaxed time spent with a close friend was also delightful. The portion sizes were just right, making for a pleasant experience.
