This was my 13th visit. No matter how many times I come, the extraordinary experience here is always exceptional. It seems they have revamped the menu this year, adding white grilled eel and pheasant! Appetizers: - Leaf wasabi pickled in soy sauce - Bamboo shoots with fuki miso and kinome miso - Moroccan beans with sesame - Sweet bamboo with katsuobushi pollen - Simmered venison tenderloin - Garlic chives pickled in soy sauce - Bee larvae → Previously, there was one small dish, but this time there are two! That means double the appetizers! What a generous offering! (^O^) - Grilled yamame (sweetfish) - Grilled ayu (sweetfish) - Pheasant tataki - Dried ayu - Grilled pheasant, thigh and breast meat - Pheasant skin with ponzu, mixed with okahijiki and bracken - Venison tenderloin - Venison loin - Assorted tempura: ayu, tara no me (bitter greens), sugar snap peas, myoga bamboo, bent bamboo, new potatoes, quail, venison tenderloin, and wild boar meatballs - White grilled eel - Grilled eel kabayaki with rice - Pheasant and wild vegetable rice - Shijimi clam red miso soup - Warabi mochi (bracken starch dumplings) This hearty course features 15 dishes made with local ingredients. I look forward to my next visit! (^O^)
