A yakiniku restaurant located in Hongo Sanchome.I believe this branch of the popular Yakiniku Jumbo is one of the hardest to get a reservation at.While other locations have a self-grilling style, here they provide full service (perhaps because I ordered a course).I ordered the Chateaubriand course.The Chateaubriand is grilled slowly and carefully, allowing the flavors of the meat to shine through, resulting in a delicious steak.The Nohara-yaki and Wagyu nigiri both featured large, thin slices of strip loin that were quickly seared, and they were incredibly tasty.The melt-in-your-mouth texture and the sweetness of the fat were delightful.The kalbi, loin, and tongue were, of course, delicious as well.I think you can't go wrong with any meat you order.This place feels more like a destination for enjoying great meat rather than focusing on ambiance or service, so it’s better suited for dining with family or friends rather than for special occasions.
