Located in a residential area of Kitaseidai, IL PIZZAIOLO has been serving authentic Neapolitan wood-fired pizza for 11 years and is known as a popular spot that requires reservations.Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted by the friendly 4-year-old female dog, "Theos." Her charming presence instantly warms your heart. We start with a toast using the iconic Italian beer, Peroni. We also add a homemade limoncello tonic, which offers a refreshing acidity with a hint of sweetness. The appetizer, a green salad, impresses with its dressing. The freshness of the vegetables is evident, and the simple yet skillful presentation showcases the chef's talent right from the first dish.Next, we try the pizza "Summer Vegetables and Scallops with Chichinelli." The thin crust has a delightful char, and the lightness extends to the edges. The balance of moisture in the ingredients is impeccable, with the sweetness of the scallops, the juiciness of the summer vegetables, and the harmony with the cheese being truly remarkable. Honestly, this is among the best pizzas I have ever tasted! Then we have the "Oven-Roasted Red Chicken Thigh." The crispy skin is perfectly cooked, and the juicy flavor combined with the balsamic sauce's acidity and richness is outstanding. The high-temperature cooking in the stone oven really shines here. For dessert, the "Quattro Formaggi" allows you to enjoy the rich personalities of four types of cheese, and a drizzle of honey at the end transforms it into a dessert-like experience. This delightful "taste change" is one of the highlights of this dish. The quality of the food is exceptional, but the warm wooden interior and the calm, serene atmosphere enhance the value of enjoying a delicious meal. You truly feel that it is worth visiting Kitaseidai just for this restaurant, and I definitely want to come back!
